SITE INVESTIGATIONS
Initial site visits to determine possible issues and interconnection locations. The site assessments also includes but not limited to Desktop Soil Surveys, Flood & Hydrology Reports, Slope Analysis Reports,Initial Site visits to determine possible issues and interconnection locations/configurations Visit sites to identify development challenges and opportunities, photo surveys of site features, and use hand-held survey equipment as necessary. Technical memorandum / report summarizing the visit to inform the project team
SITE LAYOUTS
Initial layouts for rooftop, carport and groundmount (fixed and Single Axis Tracker) sites in order to determine system size using programs such as VirtuoSolar, PVsyst and AutoCAD. Rydberg engineers develop detailed site layout with AutoCAD Civil 3D, incorporating project constraints such as NWI and FEMA boundaries, soils maps, available parcel boundaries. SINGLE LINE & THREE LINE DIAGRAMS
Initial electrical single-line drawings of the system and interconnection to be used for estimating and issuing to the utility and ISO for interconnection.
INTERCONNECTION SUPPORT
Our engineers supports clients with completing Interconnection Application Forms, Assessing utility requirements for interconnection at the distribution and transmission levels, Preparing, reviewing and or approving technical portions applications for interconnection service, Preparing, reviewing and or approving conceptual drawings and technical documents, Participating in negotiations of interconnection agreements with utilities, as well as Analyzing and responding to interconnection study (feasibility, impact, and facility) results and engaging with utilities to optimize utility service.
ENERGY ESTIMATES - PVsyst
Initial energy estimates of the preliminary designs to give an approximation of energy that will be created using the program PVsyst, PlantPredict and in-house post-processing spreadsheets. This process involves the collection and processing of irradiation data, meteorological data, the measure of continuous and alternating currents and the measure of energy at the grid delivery point or at the collection point, under the proposed project’s electrical and structural design&configuration.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS
Our engineering plans include but not limited to: Grounding and bonding systems, SCADA Design, Balance of System Design, Electrical utility coordination, Design of all associated conduit and infrastructure , Electrical inspection , and providing stamped and signed electrical design sets: low voltage design, medium voltage design, DC design, grounding, installation details @ 30%, 60%, 90%-IFP, 100%-IFC engineering & design plans
OWNER'S ENGINEER SERVICES
Assistance in Site assessments, Request For Proposals, Energy Estimates, Design Reviews Commissioning and Forensic Analysis. Our engineers represent owners during the project development and construction stages, ensuring all activities are performed in line with legal standards.During construction, Rydberg makes regular site visits to ensure plans are being followed and the right materials are being used. Our engineers also checks for site safety issues, design issues that may become apparent during construction, and various other matters.
Project OPTIMIZATION
Use financial estimates to provide the lowest cost of energy design (LCOE). Rydberg also provides project evaluation and cost estimation for solar services, Equipment specifications consultation.
